October 24, 2009: Super Happy Funtime returns to the Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids with an all-new Halloween Burlesque show. The sold-out production kicked off with a special "Art Prize: The Musical."
October 23, 2009: Super Happy Funtime and the Meanwhile Bar screened an all-new color print of "The Forbidden Zone" at the Wealthy Theatre. Director Richard Elfman performed with the Super Happy Funtime cast, which re-created the signature scenes in the film, accompanied by the End Times Orchestra.
October 17, 2009: Super Happy Funtime returned to Papa Petes in Kalamazoo, Michigan with a more pared-down version of its Halloween Burlesque show. More focus on the striptease, less skits.
October 16, 2009: The show kicked off the Halloween season with the inaugural performance of its Halloween Burlesque show at the Riviera Theater in Three Rivers, Michigan.
September 19, 2009: Another down and dirty Detroit-style burlesque show at The Ritz in Warren, Michigan. Great crowd with lots of energy. This was the last staging of the Dead Body show.
September 10, 2009: Super Happy Funtime closed down the Beer Garden at Bell's Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo for the summer. The rain held out long enough to put on the Dead Body Show for a typically rowdy and raucous crowd.
August 29, 2009: Back at Papa Pete's, where the beer flows and there's an endless river of tasty gyros and spinach pies. We had our biggest crowd, which included a bridal shower party.
August 20, 2009: We played our first show at the Acorn Theatre in Three Oaks, MI. The theater, which was built in a former corset factory, is an amazing and high-energy venue. The diverse crowd is enthusiastic and open to our gender-bending antics.
August 7, 2009: Super Happy Funtime rolled into Chicago to perform at the legendary Jackhammer Bar. We did the shortest most high energy performance of our careers. The band was smokin' and kept the audience screaming for more!
July 31, 2009: The cast was delighted to perform in the Riviera Theatre, a 500-seat 1920's gilded movie palace on Main Street in Three Rivers, MI. The cast brought back the Murder Mystery Burlesque. After the show, the cast retired to the classy wood paneled bar at the theatre and chatted with the crowd.
July 11, 2009: Super Happy Funtime returns to the Wealthy Theatre with a sold-out Murder Mystery Burlesqueshow. Red Hot Annie and the girls from Vaudezilla came in from Chicago to perform with us.
June 13, 2009: We returned to the Beer Garden at Bell's Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo. The Gay Pride Festival was held that same day, so the crowd was especially rambunctious.
June 6, 2009: Rocky's Bar and Grill is the site of the CD release party for Super Happy Funtime LIVE! The show was opened by The Chinese People and then the End of Times Orchestra rocked the night away.
May 30, 2009: Super Happy Funtime heads east and performs at the Ritz Lounge in Warren outside of Detroit. This bar, located at Ground Zero of the bankrupt US auto industry, returned the show to its gritty roots. The show closed with a brawl in the crowd. Stay funtime!
April 24, 2009: Lala Vulvaria performs with The Tickled Fancy Burlesque Show at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor.
April 23, 2009: We performed our first show in Holland at the The Park Theatre. The sold-out show featured a sexy belly dance by Camilla Cupcake, Lala Vulvaria's Joan Crawford Dance "Mommy Dearest," and the return of the Skinflute Orchestra. We look forward to returning to this cute little theater!
April 12, 2009: Vivacious Miss Audacious, Velveeta the Cheetah, and Lala Vulvaria perform in the Great Boston Burlesque Exposition and Vintage Fashion Fair. They shake up Bean Town as the Titty Tri-Force . . . UNITE!
March 27, 2009: We return to Papa Pete's in Kalamazoo. National headliner The World Famous Brett did super scary bull whip tricks and juggling!
January 25, 2009: Miss Audacious performed in the Best Midwest Burlesk Festival (BOMB) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This was the first national burlesque festival event where shftb was represented!
November 17, 2008: Burlesque was back at the Sazerac Lounge with an all-new Movie Madness cinema show! Headlined by the infamous JustLarry, the sold-out show included a performance by JustLarry - magician, comedian, and juggler.
October 18, 2008: Over 400 people filled Wealthy Theater for the best Super Happy Funtime show yet! Great costumes, cool makeup, funny skits. The girls were beautiful and sexy as ever. This is the best show in town!
September 5, 2008: The Cinema Show kicked ass at Bell's Eccentric Cafe. Great crowd of 250, beautiful weather. Audience members taking off their clothes. And Caitlin, everyone's favorite bartender, did her first striptease.
July 19, 2008: Bell's Eccentric Cafe hosted Super Happy Funtime's first Kalamazoo show. It was great! Nearly 200 people packed the bar to watch the actors and musicians perform their best pieces. Stay Funtime!
June 28, 2008: Almost 300 people watchd the Best Of Show at the Wealthy Theatre to celebrate two years of Super Happy Funtime naughtiness in Grand Rapids. The cast brought out almost 30 skits and dances from the past year -- almost 3 hours of nonstop entertainment.
May 31, 2008: 300 degenerates at the Inside Out Gallery in Traverse City, MI. The crowd is awesome in Traverse City, or Greater Alpena as we call it! The girls were all glitz and glamor and the boylesque went over well.
May 3, 2008: Over 250 people attended the Kid Show at the Wealthy Theatre. The all-new show made fun of horribly produced children's shows and Saturday morning cartoons. It was our smoothest, yet most disturbing show yet!
March 22, 2008: Inspired by the prophesy of Mr. Happy Pants, Super Happy Funtime put its own naughty spin on the mysteries of the Holy Bible Burlesque at the Wealthy Theatre. This was one of our smoothest shows and the new wireless mics made everything sound great!
February 16, 2008: Super Happy Funtime performs a sold-out show for 300 degenerates at the Inside Out Gallery in Traverse City, MI. Mr. Happy Pants kept calling the city Gaylord. Tee hee!
January 19, 2008: The Old Time Radio Show included many Super Happy Funtime actors performing on the Wealthy Theatre stage with sound effects and live simulcast on WYCE. Two shows entertain over 200 people!
December 15, 2007: Super Happy Funtime produces another Holiday Burlesque Spectacular at the Wealthy Theatre! During a raging blizzard, a sold-out crowd saw our 2-hour show. After the show, everyone went to the ever popular Meanwhile Bar.
October 28, 2007: Super Happy Funtime performs at the UICA for their Halloween Fundraising Event. The crowd came dressed in costumes.
October 27, 2007: Super Happy Funtime performs in WGRD's Fetish Ball at the Whiskey Lounge in the Black Hills section of Grand Rapids. The burlesque dancers get down and dirty on the miniature stage.
October 20, 2007: Super Happy Funtime returns to the home of vaudeville theater in Grand Rapids -- the Wealthy Theatre! Our Halloween Burlesque show sells out as we bring back all of the cheesy horror films and scary tales that traumatized the adolescent years of our audience.
September 29, 2007: Super Happy Funtime performs at The Intersection Lounge for the 20th Anniversary Party for Scavenger Hunt. The burlesque crew killed the dazed and confused rock-and-roll crowd with sexy burlesque acts and hilarious game shows.
August 25, 2007: They said Super Happy Funtime couldn't do The Intersection Lounge. Our Classic TV! show packs over 300 people into the Intersection main stage!
July 29, 2007: Super Happy Funtime says farewell to the Sazerac Lounge by doing a special Best of Super Happy Funtime show. We packed 100 fans into the bar!
June 16, 2007: Super Happy Funtime Burlesque does its first show at Wealthy Theatre! Our largest ever crowd of 275 patrons were amazed by our take on "Fractured Fairy Tales."
April 22 and April 29: We hperformed for 100 people on April 22 and 90 on April 29 for Super Happy Funtime Burlesque . . . Through the Ages at the Sazerac Lounge!
March 25, 2007: Super Happy Funtime performs a show at the Sazerac Lounge.
February 20, 2007: Super Happy Funtime assaults The B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids! Our 3 hour show is crammed into a 90 minute biscuit of burlesque sauciness!
February 18, 2007: Super Happy Funtime celebrated Carnivale! Another sold out show at the Sazerac Lounge with 135 people keeping it funtime!
January 21, 2007: Best of Super Happy Funtimebrought down the house at the Sazerac Lounge. Over 115 fans saw all of their favorite skits, games shows, acts, and performers from the last year of burlesque shows.
December 17, 2006: We sold out the Sazerac Lounge with over 150 people having a Super Happy Naughty Christmas!
November 4 and 5, 2006: We do two shows in one weekend! It was non-stop funtime at the chic Sazerac Lounge on Plainfield Ave.
October 8, 2006: Tightest show yet and we packed the Sazerac Lounge again. We had to bring in extra seating! The girls from Dangerous Curves Burlesque from Detroit were blown away by Grand Rapids.
September 17, 2006: Super Happy Funtime explodes in Grand Rapids. Packs the Sazerac Lounge for the first time.
August 15, 2006: Super Happy Funtime performs their first show for 300 fans at 567 Prospect. Sarah Jean, Joe, BJ, and Jan perform even though they suffered extreme sunburn while tubing.
